SEGESTA
The Temple of Segesta is a Greek temple of the ancient city of Segesta located in the archaeological area of Calatafimi Segesta, an Italian town in the province of Trapani in Sicily, it was one of the main cities of the Elimi. If you love archeology, but especially if you want to experience the thrill of a jump back in time, do not miss the visit to the Segesta Archaeological Park. Considered one of the most fascinating and mysterious Temples of Magna Graecia. Segesta is one of the most evocative places in all of Sicily. The theater was built on the highest peak of Monte Barbaro, on a site, behind the Agora, which was already home to a place of worship many centuries before. Take advantage of the beautiful landscape of the sea and of the hills as far as the eye can see. It was built at the end of the 3rd century B.C. according to the dictates of the Greek-Hellenistic architecture, with local limestone blocks, able to hold about 4000 people.
SCOPELLO
Scopello is an Italian coastal town, a fraction of the municipality of Castellammare del Golfo in the province of Trapani, you can start a varied route, including a visit to the old Tonnara that opens up to the view of the beautiful Faraglioni, a charming seaside village near San Vito the Capo and the Zingaro Reserve, a mandatory stop on the Trapani coast.
Not far from the baglio is Guidaloca, a bay limited by "Pizzo della Gnacara" and "Puntazza". Inside there is a large arch-shaped beach formed by pebbles, about 400 meters long. The village has about 118 residents, grew up around an ancient baglio, a little more than 10 km away from the municipal capital, which becomes about 2,000 in summer. On the west side of the "cala" there is a cylindrical tower dating back to the 16th century. guarding that stretch of coast. we find also the Tonnara di Scopello is one of the most important and ancient of all Sicily: the first buildings date back to the thirteenth century, the real Tonnara was built in the fifteenth century by Giovanni Sanclemente and expanded by the family Sanclemente during the sixteenth century; he then passed to the Society of Jesus and finally to the Florio family.
A real paradise that deserves to be visited.
